The destination has two bear observatories, which are located in the vicinity of Baile Tusnad (capacity of 20 places) and Lake St. Ana (capacity of 40 places), from where those interested can observe bears in safety.

Artist-photographer Bence Máté is the holder of the award considered the equivalent of the Oscar in wildlife photography. He was awarded Wildlife Photographer of the Year in 2010, when his picture entitled “The Shadow Game” became “Wildlife Photographer of the Year” and Bence became “Landscape Photographer of the Year”. . But the biggest thrill is the fact that he takes first place in every category of the competition. He is the only entrant to win in both the adult and youth categories. Despite his age, this young man has won so many awards that today he is considered the most successful participant of this competition so far.
